College for West Virginia, an online resource for high school students across the state, has designated November 1 – 5 as College Application Week. Hosted annually, the campaign seeks to increase the Higher Education Policy Commission’s efforts to grow the number of students choosing to pursue postsecondary education.
“This is a statewide effort encouraging students of all ages to consider their college options and to promote college-going as a real possibility,” said Fairmont State University Assistant Director of Recruitment, Summer Boggess.
Throughout the week, Fairmont State admissions counselors will be visiting various high schools across West Virginia to answer commonly asked questions and help explain the application process. In addition, the University will be hosting on-campus Fall Exploration Days on Wednesday, November 3 and Thursday, November 4. Exploration Days provide the opportunity for Future Falcons to explore majors, meet new friends and discover Fairmont State’s beautiful campus.
