The City of Buckhannon’s Oct. 26 weekly update lists a Veterans Day ceremony in Jawbone Park on Saturday, Nov. 7, following the parade. The ceremony’s exact start time is not given.
Mike Wallace’s Oct. 30 announcement confirms that the ceremony will honor area veterans and their families. The B-UHS choir and band will perform, and local community officials will recognize veterans and their families. The program includes veteran speakers and special guest speaker Dr. Greenbriar Almond.
The parade starts at 10 a.m., with lineup at 9:15 a.m. at the Gibson Library on East Main Street. It travels Main Street to Spring Street and ends at Jawbone Park. All veterans are invited to ride the American Legion float.
