Buckhannon’s Veterans Day parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 7, with a ceremony honoring area veterans and their families to follow, according to a notice from American Legion Post 7.
Participants will line up at 9:15 a.m. at Gibson Library on East Main Street. From the library, the parade will follow Main Street to Spring Street and end at Jawbone Park.
The ceremony program includes music from the Buckhannon-Upshur High School choir and band, along with remarks from veteran speakers. Dr. Greenbrier Almond is the special guest speaker. Community officials will also take part by recognizing veterans and their families.
