The City of Buckhannon Water Department will host a public meeting on the community’s Source Water Protection Plan on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. in the Public Safety Complex training room, 22 S. Florida St.
The plan lays out strategies for safeguarding Buckhannon’s drinking water supply by identifying potential risks, strengthening emergency response coordination and improving long-term water quality protections.
Water Department representatives will present an overview of the plan, discuss ongoing initiatives and gather feedback. Residents, business owners and community partners can learn more about the plan, ask questions and offer input on future protection measures. All interested community members are encouraged to attend.
