Upshur County’s universal free Pre-K enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is now open. Enrolling your child in Pre-K is a personal decision. However, students who enroll in Pre-K are more likely to be appropriately social, comfortable with school and develop a love for learning. Future students born between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, are welcome to enroll.

Please visit the school system’s webpage to begin the enrollment process. The webpage will outline the needed documents that a guardian needs to enroll their student.

Guardians can use this form to enroll their children in seven Pre-K classrooms at an Upshur County Elementary School. Additionally, they can choose from eight Pre-K classrooms throughout Upshur County, including those offered by Pre-K Collaborative partners: Upshur Human Resources Inc. (also known as Head Start), Child Development Center and Mountain CAP.
