Doyle Margel Tenney

Doyle Margel Tenney, age 85, of French Creek, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at his home. 

He was born in Alton, WV on April 3, 1937, a son of the late Floyd B. (Dave) and Nora Mae Daniels.  He was united in marriage on March 8, 1955, to Beulah Jean Jeffries Tenney who survives.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters:  Janet Lou Tenney Dillon, Jean Frances Tenney Hissam both of French Creek, Lesa Kay Tenney and Carolina Hope Tenney Simmons both of Buckhannon; two sons:  Doyle Wendell Tenney and Margel Franklin Tenney both of French Creek; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers:  Conrad Junior Tenney of French Creek and David Tenney of Alton; three sisters:  Emma Lou Whitaker of Virginia, Rosalea Jeffers of Warren, OH, Helen Lavere Tenney of Martinsburg, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers:  Floyd Denver Tenney, Robert Dewey Tenney and Arnold Delmar Tenney; four sisters:  Verla Leona Pritt, Zelma Virginia Tenney, Leatha Mae Bacorn, and Lora Bernice Lightner.

Mr. Tenney was a Minister and also worked at various other jobs.  He had been employed at Union Construction, a custodian at West Virginia Wesleyan College, gas truck driver for Southern States.  He was a timber cutter and also had been employed by Buckhannon Mill.

The family has honored his request for cremation and there will be no services.
