Donnie Woodrow Kincaid Sr.

Donnie Woodrow Kincaid, Sr., age 90, of French Creek, WV, died Monday August 8, 2022, at his home.

He was born July 21, 1932, in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Henry Washington and Audrey Gay Karickhoff Kincaid.

On February 6, 1960, he married Karen Sue Miller who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Libby Hoover and husband Gerry of Buckhannon, WV; one son, Donnie W. Kincaid, Jr. and wife Connie Sue Atwell of French Creek; two grandsons, Jason Hoover and Samantha Eubank and Caleb Hunter Kincaid all of French Creek; two granddaughters, Jennifer Cutlip and husband Derek of Lost Creek, WV and Allison Fawn Kincaid of French Creek; one great grandson, Devon Cutlip of Lost Creek; three great granddaughters, Julianne Cutlip of Lost Creek and Morgan and Jordan Rowan both of French Creek and one special sister, Oneita Powers of FL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents who raised him, Warrick and Maggie Karickhoff; six special sisters, Roxie Simons, Virginia Keller, Elsie Crider, Snowdear Ward, Tula Curkendall and Deloris Smith and one special brother, Earl Karickhoff.

Mr. Kincaid served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked in the maintenance department at Corhart Refractories and was a member of the South Buckhannon Mission Church and the Franklin Lodge #7 A.F. & A.M. in Buckhannon.

Friends will be received Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside.
