Donato welcomes 78 to youth soccer camp

TENNERTON – Buckhannon-Upshur head boys’ soccer coach Mike Donato concluded his annual Buccaneer Soccer Camp last week calling it a success as he and his staff welcomed 78 campers.

“This year’s edition of the soccer camp was a huge success,” stated Donato. “We had 78 young soccer players attend last week to sharpen their soccer skills and learn some new ones as well. I can’t thank the coaches who donated their time last week enough.”

Those assisting Donato were former B-U players Lexi Greene, Connor Hollen and Tyler Hollen, current boys assistant coach Brian Brandish, B-U girls head coach Bob Greenough and assistant coach Logan Kelley and Upshur County Youth Soccer president Kevin Nicholson.

“I’d also want to thank all the current high school players on both the boys and girls teams who helped throughout the week and the boosters who helped with registration and prizes,” noted Donato. “The camp wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors: Ameriprise Financial, Baker Tilly, Highland Landscaping, Lynx WV, Tenkara WV, Sam’s Pizza, Stone Tower Brews, Sunset Graphics and West Virginia Chiropractic Center.”
