Delores J. Ross

Delores J. Ross, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 19, 1947, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late William Arbra Ross and Imogene “Jean” (Cottrell/Ross) Stout.

She is survived by two daughters, Shawne (Rogish) Vance and husband Charlie of Buckhannon and Sheala (Rogish) Murphy and husband Bryon of French Creek, WV; and a son, Shannon Rogish of Rural Retreat, VA. Delores has three grandchildren, Ashley Unger and husband Jason of Hegins, PA, Katelyn Hooker and husband Randy of Mechanicsburg, PA and Cole Murphy of French Creek. She also has four great-grandchildren, the “Lights” in her Eyes,” Alexia Unger and husband Austin of Slatington, PA, Jase Unger and Hunter and Harper Hooker. Also surviving are two sisters, Francis (Ross) Hart of Belpre, OH and Wilma (Ross) Brown of Weston, WV; one brother, Ray Ross of Vadis; and a half-sister, Valarie (Stout/Hayes) Gregg and husband Jim of Cumberland, MD.

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by a daughter, Shane Lynn Rogish; a brother, William Arbra Ross, Jr; a half-brother, Lonnie Wayne Stout and two half-sisters, Arlene Denise Stout and Marva Lynn Stout.

Delores graduated from Lewis County High School in 1965. She was a retired LPN. She loved working in her yard and flower beds. Delores had a deep faith in the Lord and will not only be missed by her family but her church family.

In honoring Delores’s wishes, she will be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.
