Cross-country Little Lady Bucs win Mid Mountain 10 Conference championship

GRAFTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Little Lady Bucs won the Mid Mountain 10 Championships that were held Thursday evening at West Taylor Elementary School.

The Little Lady Bucs beat five other teams compiling 55 points, eight points ahead of second place East Fairmont who amassed 63 points. Elkins was third with 63 points while Bridgeport was fourth with 76 points and Taylor County rounded out the top five with 119 points.

B-UMS won the team title despite not placing anyone in the top five.

Lena Rose Walker was the top Little Lady Buc finisher placing seventh with a time of 13:48.

The four other Little Lady Bucs scoring all placed in the top 15 as Gwendolyn Rogosky finished 11th (14:26), Chloe Lewis finished 13th (14:30), Isabella Bowers finished 14th (14:32), and Makenna Marsh finished 15th (14.40).

Jenna Conaway of East Fairmont won the individual title with a time of 12:35 while Addison Sole of Taylor County was runner-up with a time of 13:08.

The team will run again Tuesday at Doddridge County at 4 p.m.
