Community Christmas Day Dinner available by Takeout or delivery

Buckhannon, W.Va. — The annual Upshur County Community Christmas Day Dinner hosted by the Upshur Parish House will be available by takeout or delivery again this year. No in-person dining option will be offered.

Takeout meals will be available for pick-up at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 88 South Kanawha Street, Buckhannon, beginning at 12:30 pm and ending at 1:30 pm, on December 25. To schedule a meal delivery, call 681-367-2461 before December 24. If there is no answer, please leave a detailed message with phone number and someone will call back to confirm. No pre-order is needed for takeout meals.

There’s also still plenty of time to sign up to volunteer and help with the dinner. Volunteers are needed on December 25. For more information, call 681-367-2461. Please leave a message if there is no answer and we will return the call.

The dinner is free of charge. Freewill donations are accepted. Community members, businesses, churches, and organizations can make tax-deductible contributions to help cover the cost of the meal. Checks can be mailed to Upshur Parish House, 68 College Avenue, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Please note that the gift it is earmarked for the 2022 Christmas Day Dinner.
