City to begin flushing fire hydrants Monday

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — City Water Department Superintendent Kelly Arnold has announced that the department will begin the fall flushing of fire hydrants on Monday, October 18, 2021. The flushing procedure will take place from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each workday until complete.

This does not include the Public Service Districts.

Please check the water before doing any light clothing laundry as the water may be discolored due to the flushing.
