City of Buckhannon Water Department announces water service interruption alert on Thursday

The City of Buckhannon Water Department has announced a water service interruption alert (for necessary repair work) on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at approximately 9 a.m. The following areas will be affected:

  • Stony Run Road
  • Knollwood Drive
  • Chantilly Drive
  • Spruce Fork
  • Ashburn Drive
  • Starkey Cove Drive
  • Primrose Drive
  • Eagle Street
  • Pondora Drive
  • Golden Pond Lane
  • Valley View Lane
  • Brushy Fork from Eagle Street to Stonecoal Road

The Water Department will work to get everything back to normal quickly.

If weather makes it impossible to complete on Thursday, March 13, 2025, they will attempt again on Friday, March 14, 2025

Lacrosse Bucs crush Wheeing Park for first win, 15-3

Buckhannon-Upshur powered to its first win of the season with a 15-3 rout of Wheeling Park, using balanced scoring from seven players despite a near 30-minute delay. Braylon Oldaker, Easton Rice and Tobias Marple netted three goals each as the Bucs improved to 1-1.
