City of Buckhannon updates trash collection schedule following snow storm

After a winter storm dumped several inches of snow on Upshur County, causing numerous cancelations, the City of Buckhannon updated its waste collection schedule on Tuesday.

The Buckhannon Transfer Station will operate normally on Tuesday, and curbside recycling is being collected as scheduled, according to a press release. Waste collection will follow the regular schedule in the city, and every attempt will be made to collect in the county.

Waste customers whose pickup is usually on Monday can expect to have their pickup this Friday, along with any other customers who may be missed due to weather conditions. The bulky goods collection for Friday has been postponed by a week.

All other city departments, including City Hall, are operating as usual.
