Citizens Bank hires Ware as new Compliance & Information Security Officer

Citizens Bank of West Virginia President & CEO Nathaniel S. Bonnell recently announced the hiring of Daniel Ware as Compliance and Information Security Officer. Ware will be charged with administering the physical security of the bank as well as serving as designated Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer.

Ware has been in banking for 22 years having held previous positions as a Security Officer, Model Risk Officer, Assistant BSA Officer, Vendor Program Manager, and on an IT and Security Team.

“Dan is a seasoned professional and we are very pleased to have Dan join our team overseeing our bank’s compliance and operational risk programs,” said President & CEO Nathaniel S. Bonnell. “His broad experience is a powerful asset to the work we do to protect our information and overall security, in addition to his other key and crucial roles that safeguard and serve the bank, customers and community.”

He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Fairmont State University and is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Banking. He has earned CRVPM II (Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager) and BCP (Bam Certified Professional) designations.

He and his wife, Jessica Ware, reside in Roanoke.
