Carmel L. Lemmo Lantz

Carmel L. Lemmo Lantz, 63, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born October 28, 1956, in Painesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Jerry A. and Rose L. Lemmo.

On April 5, 1986, she married Steven L. Lantz, who survives of Buckhannon.

Also surviving are one daughter, Brianna M. Lantz Bonner and husband Seth of Buckhannon; two brothers, Joseph Lemmo and wife Judy of Erie, Pa. and Jerry Lemmo and wife Madeleine of Woodstock, Ga.; one sister, Donna M. Koch and husband Dennis of Mentor, Ohio; seven nieces and nephews, Christie Pol and Bryan of Erie,  Jennifer Gerg and husband Darren of Hartford, Conn., Joseph Lemmo and wife Justine of Woodstock, Ga., Brian Koch and wife Brittany of Columbus, Ohio, Michael Lemmo and wife Destin of LaGrange, Ga., Natalie Reidinger and husband Eric of Canton, Ga. and Katie Koch of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 10 great nieces and nephews; aunt, Sandy Krueger and husband Robert of Rochester Hills, Mich. and her beloved dog, Honey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather Lariccia and grandmother and grandfather Lemmo.

Mrs. Lantz was a homemaker and a devoted Christian who attended the South Buckhannon Mission Church of Buckhannon. She was born again Christian on April 2, 2004 and was baptized in the Sago River on July 15, 2007. Mrs. Lantz loved to share devotionals with others who were going through difficult times.

In 1974 she graduated from Lake Catholic High School in Ohio where she was a cheerleader and their first homecoming queen.

Mrs. Lantz dearly loved her parents, family and friends.

Friends will be received Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lantz family to be donated to a charity at a later date in Carmel’s honor.
