Canaan Valley Resort to ski clinic for women Feb. 25-26

Davis, W.Va. (January 2023) – Offering more than seven hours of group and personalized ski instruction in a fun and supportive environment, Canaan Valley Resort will host a ski clinic for women by women February 25-26. Additionally, the resort is now offering “Master the Mountain” private, all-day, individual lessons for intermediate or above skiers interested in improving their on-slope abilities.

“We’re seeing an enhanced interest in skiers’ desire to improve their skills,” said Matt Baker, General Manager at Canaan Valley Resort. “To meet the growing demand, we offer a menu of individual and group lessons tailored to a skiers’ particular skill level. As part of this, we are hosting the Women’s Ski Clinic and we are now offering more in-depth, individual, private lessons for those interested on a daily basis.”

Created for women who are intermediate skiers, age 18+, interested in taking their skills to the next level, the clinic – led by Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) certified women trainers – will help participants improve through on-slope instruction, video analysis, and offer advice on proper gear, equipment, and training.

The clinic begins at 8:30am on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Canaan Valley Resort ski area. Participants will ski with the instructor from 9:30am -noon and 1:30-3:30pm with a lunch break and video analysis in between. A group social will be offered Saturday evening. On Sunday, participants will ski from 9am-noon, and work on techniques learned the day before.

Throughout the season, intermediate or above skiers interested in private lessons personalized to their skill level can participate in the “Master the Mountain” program. Led by a highly trained PSIA level 2/3 certified instructor with master teacher credentials, the all-day lesson includes one-on-one instruction, video analysis, and lunch.
