West Virginia Wesleyan split a doubleheader with WVU Tech at GoMart Ballpark, winning the opener 5–2 behind timely first-inning offense and strong relief pitching. WVU Tech answered with a 12–1 rout in Game 2, erupting for six runs in both the first and fourth innings.
Buckhannon-Upshur’s girls wrestling team proved it’s among the state’s elite as Lylah Ketterman, Olivia Blonn and Abby Radabaugh captured individual state titles. The Lady Bucs finished second overall with 114 points, just behind champion Washington’s 124.
Buckhannon will hold a public surplus auction with Partner Auctions on March 25, 2026 at 9 a.m. at 30 Brushy Fork Crossing. Vehicles, heavy equipment, a trailer and electric motors will be up for bid.
Dr. Judith Noble Halle of Buckhannon and Rock Cave, WV, passed away on March 8, 2026, due to a sudden, severe cardiac condition. She was a medical educator and researcher, devoted to mothers and infants and to training health professionals.
