Inaugural Hops & Hollers Craft Beer Festival set for June 6 at Clarksburg Amphitheater

CLARKSBURG — After nearly two years of planning, the Clarksburg Amphitheater will host the first-ever Hops & Hollers Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, June 6, officially kicking off the summer season of events at the city’s premier open-air live entertainment venue.

The festival will feature approximately six regional craft breweries, giving patrons the opportunity to sample a variety of locally produced beers while enjoying an afternoon and evening of live music.

Entertainment will begin with ZZ Top Notch, a tribute band dedicated to the music of the legendary Texas rock group ZZ Top. Formed in 2022, the band brings together more than 100 years of combined professional performing experience and delivers the signature Texas blues and rock sound that fans know and love.

Later in the evening, Second Helping — the world’s longest-running Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band — will take the stage around 7 p.m. Founded in 1988, the band has built a reputation for faithfully recreating the southern rock sound of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Frontman Chris McAllister and the group have also collaborated with former Skynyrd members, including Ed King and guitarist Randall Hall, helping solidify their reputation as the “Original Skynyrd Tribute Show.”

“Craft beer and live southern rock music sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday kicking off the summer,” said Clarksburg City Parks Superintendent Doug Comer. “This event has been an idea we have discussed for some time, and we are excited to finally bring it to the Amphitheater. Our Recreation Coordinator, Joe Marple, has led the planning efforts since November, securing the bands and vendors and working through the final details to ensure a successful first event.”

General admission tickets will be available for $20, which includes entry to the Amphitheater for music and access to the craft beer vendors. A VIP experience will also be offered for $45 per person but limited to just 400 tickets. The VIP package includes event admission, a souvenir festival cup, beer sampling tickets from each participating brewery and reserved seating in the Amphitheater bowl area.

For more information about the event or to inquire about becoming a brewery or food truck vendor, contact Joe Marple at the Clarksburg Parks Department at 304-624-1655. Ticket availability and purchasing information will be released later this month.
