Gregory ‘Greg’ Allen White, 64, of Buckhannon, WV, formerly of Grafton, passed away on October 12, 2026. He loved his family, raising cattle, hunting and fishing.
The Lady Bucs fired 19 shots-on-goal but couldn’t break through in a 1-0 loss at Grafton, extending their winless streak to eight matches. Coach Rosie Shackleford praised their heart and teamwork despite the continued scoring drought.
Buckhannon-Upshur bounced back with a dominant 5-0 win at Grafton, securing its first 10-win season since 2019. Coby Smith and Brody Wright combined for three goals and three assists as Landon Wright earned his eighth shutout.

Buckhannon-Upshur’s JV Bucs fell 8–0 to Lewis County in a defensive slugfest Monday, with their final drive stopped at the six-yard line. The Bucs are now 2–2, and next Monday’s game with East Fairmont was canceled.
Buckhannon-Upshur moved up one spot to 15th in the Class AAAA WVSSAC playoff ratings after a 20-0 win over Lewis County. With the top 16 qualifying for the postseason, the Bucs host East Fairmont Friday at 7 p.m.
