Gregory Allen White, 64, of Buckhannon, WV (formerly of Grafton, WV), left his earthly life of farming to farm in greater pastures on October 12, 2026. Greg was born to Stephen ‘Steve’ and Dora ‘Ruth’ (Suder) White on September 9, 1962.
On September 21, 1996, he married the love of his life, Lois (Snyder) White. They shared 30 years together and raised three great sons during those wonderful years.
In addition to his parents and his loving wife, Lois, he is survived by three sons, Bryan (Saleena) Cox, Trahern (Madeline) White, and Zachary (Kathleen) White; two grandchildren, Logan Cox and Sophia Cox; sister Cassandra (Joe) Beaty; brother-in-law Johnny (Sonja) Snyder; four nephews; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Alva ‘Doc’ Suder and Virginia ‘Ginny’ (Williams) Suder; paternal grandparents, Archie White and Alice ‘Deeds’ (Queen) White; his father- and mother-in-law, Merrit ‘Bud’ Snyder and Cecelia ‘Sue’ (Trahern) Snyder; and nephew Jared Beaty.
Greg loved to spend time with his grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He never knew a stranger and was always ready to use his wit and humor with a joke to make everyone around him laugh.
Every Wednesday and Saturday, you would find him at the stockyard sales where he enjoyed sharing stories with other farmers and friends. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Over the last seven years, Greg found a love for raising cattle on his grandfather’s farm.
Friends will be received Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Trevor Morris officiating.
In honoring his wishes, Greg will be cremated after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made directly to the family to help with Greg’s medical expenses.
