Buckhannon man dies in fatal wreck on Glady Fork Road

BUCKHANNON – A Buckhannon man died in a one-vehicle wreck Saturday night.

Jeff Tenney, 35, passed away from injuries suffered in the wreck, which happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday, June 13.

Senior Trooper P.J. Robinette with the Buckhannon detachment of the West Virginia State Police said a call came in at 6:53 p.m. that Tenney had been involved in a fatal rollover wreck while driving a silver Jeep Cherokee on the Glady Fork Road.

“It appears he drove off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and went back across the road, into a ditch, glanced off a tree, went back in the road, went back off the side of the road and flipped,” Robinette said.

Tenney was pronounced dead at the scene, and no cause of the incident has been determined so far.

He was born October 28, 1984, in Buckhannon and leaves behind his father, Edward Tenney, his wife, Erin Hanline Tenney, and three children. Read his full obituary here.
