Buckhannon Community Theatre presents “Rex’s Exes” – A hilarious comedy you won’t want to miss

BUCKHANNON — Get ready for a night of laughter as Buckhannon Community Theatre presents “Rex’s Exes,” a hilarious comedy directed by Matasha Weaver. This side-splitting production promises an evening of uproarious entertainment for audiences of all ages and will be staged April 25-28 at the Colonial Arts Center in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

“We’re thrilled to bring ‘Rex’s Exes’ to the stage,” said Weaver, who likes directing comedy. “It’s a fantastic play that combines humor, heart and a lot of fun. Audiences can expect an evening of pure entertainment.”

“Rex’s Exes” follows the story of the lovable Verdeen Cousins (last seen in “Red Velvet Cake War”) as they navigate the complexities of love, relationships and ex-partners. With witty dialogue, hilarious situations and unexpected twists, this production is sure to keep audiences laughing from start to finish.

Leah Propst, the stage manager and an actress in the play, shared her excitement about the production.

“It’s just a really good time,” Propst said. “If you came last year and you fell in love with the characters, then it’s great to see where they are now. If not, you get to meet the characters for the first time, and you’re not going to be disappointed.”

Performances will take place on April 25, 26, and 27 at 7 p.m., with a matinee show on April 28 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available online at our.show/bctspring.

“We had a really good time doing it,” Propst added during an interview at the intermission of a recent rehearsal. “A lot of work went into it, and as you saw from the first half, it is just really funny. The second half honestly gets even better.”
