Buckhannon Community Theatre is partnering with Upshur County Family Resource Network to collect winter clothing donations during performances of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr. next month.
The “Warm Wishes” winter wear drive will run Dec. 4-7 at the Colonial Arts Center in Buckhannon. Theatergoers are invited to bring donations to the lobby before seeing the show.
The theater is collecting warm gloves or mittens, cozy socks, scarves and winter hats. Items can be new or gently used.
According to a Facebook post from the theater, donations will go to the UCFRN’s Warm Wishes Tree to help families in need stay warm during the cold months ahead.
“Your generosity will help families in need stay warm during the cold months ahead,” the post said. “Let’s fill the tree with these necessities while celebrating this holiday classic together.”
