If you’re interested in filling the open seat on City Council, City Hall is accepting applications through this upcoming weekend. If you’re planning on applying in person, please do so before 4:30 Friday afternoon, October 25. If you’re placing your application in the mail, it must be postmarked by Saturday, October 26. You may also email applications to Teresa Summers at teresa.summers@buckhannonwv.org.
Applications should include the following information:
- A letter expressing your interest in the position and why you believe you’d be ideally suited for the job.
- Professional resume
- Professional references
- Ideas you have that will benefit our city’s future.
Once received, current City Council members will review the applications and set up a time to interview candidates. To be fully considered, you must be registered to vote and hold a permanent residence within Buckhannon city limits.
