Buccaneer Soccer Camp returns this year and is scheduled for June 13-16

TENNERTON – Buckhannon-Upshur boys’ head soccer coach Mike Donato has announced the dates for the 2022 Buccaneer Soccer Camp.

The camp will be held June 13-16 at the Ted Crites Alumni Field at Tom Hasbrouck Stadium on the campus of Buckhannon-Upshur High School. The rain date will be June 17.

The camp is for boys and girls entering first through eighth grade this fall. The registration cost is $50 per camper and payment is due the first night of camp. Only cash or checks will be accepted. Checks can be made payable to Buckhannon-Upshur Soccer Boosters.

The camp will last two hours each night from 6-8 p.m. Campers should bring a ball, cleats, shin guards and water. Campers wanting goalkeeping training should also bring gloves.

Joining Donato to help direct the camp will be his assistant coach Brian Brandish, Buckhannon-Upshur girls’ head coach Bob Greenough, his assistant Logan Kelley, and former and current members of the B-U Buccaneer and Lady Buc soccer teams.

“It’s great that we have the opportunity to bring this camp back after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic,” Donato said. “There aren’t a lot of soccer camp opportunities in this area, so we’re happy to give young players the chance to learn some new skills before their fall seasons begin.”
