Bruce Holt Gibson

Bruce Holt Gibson, 86, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Friday, October 23, 2020 at Holbrook Health Care Center in Buckhannon.

He was born June 27, 1934, in Braxton County, W.Va., a son of the late Elijah F. and Matilda Lake Gibson.

On December 26, 1956 he married Rosie Campbell who preceded him in death on June 10, 2006. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Tim Gibson; two granddaughters, Jennifer Gibson and Meghan Tenney; nine sisters, Nina Fisher, Zoann Byrd, Arlie Wellborn, Carol Canterbury, Jean and Sylvia Lee, Ressie Carter, Viola Fisher and Leota Gibson and one brother, Elijah June Gibson.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna Fair and husband Skip of Conway, S.C. and Judy Tenney and husband Terry of Buckhannon; two sons, Mark Gibson and fiancée, Tammie Haskell of Spencer, Ohio and Greg Gibson and wife Vi of Buckhannon; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gibson was a crane operator for Ford Motor Company and was a Christian by faith.

In honoring Mr. Gibson’s wishes he will be cremated.
