Upshur County FFA is proud to announce that two of its outstanding members, Emma Stalnaker and Emma Quick, were selected to attend the prestigious 2025 Next Gen Plant Systems Conference, a national event that brings together the brightest young minds in plant biology, agriculture, and sustainable systems. Their selections mark a significant achievement and reflect their growing impact in the field of plant science.
Hosted by the National Association of Plant Innovation, the conference provides a platform for emerging leaders to present research, collaborate with industry experts, and explore innovations shaping the future of global agriculture.
Stalnaker and Quick were chosen from a competitive pool of applications based on their academic achievements, leadership, and passion for sustainable plant systems.
“Being selected is not just an honor-it’s a call to action,” said Emma Stalnaker. “I’m excited to share ideas, learn from leaders in the field, and bring that knowledge back to make a difference in our local community and beyond”
Emma Quick added, “This opportunity means everything to me. Plant science has the power to solve real-world challenges, from food security to climate change. I’m proud to be a part of the next generation helping lead that change.”
This experience was held in Orlando, Florida and held key note speakers, featured workshops, and hands-on experiences with cutting-edge agriculture technologies.
