Brianna Lynn Smith, 27, of Buckhannon passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 at St. Josephs Hospital. Born May 14, 1991 in Clarksburg, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Lucius and Molly Howes Smith, III.

Survivors include her two sisters: Melissa J. Smith Daugherty and husband, Ian, and Lindsey M. Williams both of Buckhannon; maternal grandparents: Dayton and Kathy Howes of Buckhannon; two aunts: Annette Kimball and husband, Larry, of Morgan, Utah, and Stella Howes of Smithfield, Pa.; six special nieces: Nekaiya, Sophronia, Aldora, Eva, Rosie, and Rayna; many special cousins; Bill Petrice of Coalton, WV and special family friend, Glenn Ludwig of Buckhannon.

Brianna graduated Buckhannon-Upshur High School class of 2009. She was a very free spirited and artistic individual. She really enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, listening to music, dancing, her tattoos and dying her hair which was like her personality bright and colorful. At a young age, she was very caring with both her parents during their illnesses, even up to the very end. Brianna had a very independent lively spirit which will be missed by all who knew her especially the infectious laugh and smile that would light up a room.
