Betty Lou Phillips

Betty Lou Phillips, 70, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Saturday June 19, 2021 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born March 10, 1951, in Barbour County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Edward Dice and Maggie Geneva Vest Phillips.

She is survived by two sons, Delbert Lee Boyles of Buckhannon, W.Va., Darl Lee Boyles of French Creek, W.Va.; one daughter Brenda Sue Boyles-Rowan and fiancé Chris Henry of Buckhannon, W.Va.; one son-in-law, Ron Rowan; twelve grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Darl Andrew, Dillon Wayne, Brittany Sue, Joshua Conway, Toby Lee, Emma Lou, Darl Brian, Daryl Nathaniel, Brittany Lee, Charitty Elizabeth, Brooklyn Kalleen; special family friends Shirley Hudak, John Tenney, and Star Teets; special fur babies Pumpkin, Grumpy, Betsy and Lucky the cat; great-granddogs Rosie, Deuce, Lily, and more on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Lee Tenney; six brothers Dice Edward Phillips, Junior Lee Phillips, James Lee Phillips, Charles Lee Phillips, Gerald Ronald Phillips, Allen Dale Phillips; five sisters, Mary Richards, Margaret Price, Carolyn Bennett, Laura Casto, and Catherine Taylor.

Ms. Phillips was a hard worker who enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word searches, she loved her family and her fur babies very much. She was adored by her family and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Friends will be received Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Ms. Phillips will Lie-In-State at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, Friday June 25, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., the funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Bend Church Cemetery in Sago, W.Va.
