The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources announced Friday that 3,889 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in the Mountain State. That’s decrease of 195 since the last report and the first time active cases have dropped below 4,000 since last September.

Locally, COVID-19 cases are active in Upshur (55), Barbour (19), Lewis (19), Randolph (240) and Webster (41) counties. In Upshur County, that’s an increase of one active case in the last 24 hours.
