Barbara Joan Robinson Andrew Starkey

Barbara Joan Robinson Andrew Starkey, age 68, of Pocahontas Street, Buckhannon, died Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at her home. She was born on May 28, 1957, in French Creek, a daughter of the late Marvin Francis and Etta Genevieve “Genny” Robinson Riley.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jacqueline Suzanne Andrew; two half-brothers, Marion Francis Robinson and Estel Ray Riley; and one niece, Lorelei King.

She is survived by one son, Nicholas Parker Andrew of Charleston; one granddaughter, Naomi Margaret Andrew; one sister, Carol June Marsh of Little Birch, WV; three half-sisters, Carolene Joyce Sheets, Wilma Fay Daugherty, and Lola Kay Miller; two half-brothers, Melvin Wayne Riley and Larry Gene Riley; and great-nieces, Daizy King, Heidi Nicole King, Rayvne Storm King, and Layla Rose King.

She is also survived by her best friend, Brenda Shine of Rock Cave; longtime companion, Scott Wilson of Buckhannon; and her former husbands, David Mark Andrew and Randal Burdell Starkey.

Barbara enjoyed reading, cooking, canning, camping, music, and television series focused on the history of Europe. She cherished time spent singing karaoke with her sister and close friends in her younger years. Known for her compassionate nature, Barbara always sought to help others and cared deeply for the people around her. Her greatest joy came from loving and caring for the people around her.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, at which time a funeral service will begin with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Interment will follow in the Heaston Cemetery at Rock Cave.
