B-UMS soccer teams sweep Barbour County

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School soccer teams swept a pair of outings with Barbour County at home Friday night.

Both teams were dominant as the Little Lady Bucs won 4-0 while the Little Bucs won a 7-2 decision.

For the Little Lady Bucs, Isabella Nottingham, Lily Rice, and Brogan Tenney each had a first-half goals to stake them to a 3-0 lead at the break.

Nottingham added the lone second-half goal for the 4-0 win.

The victory gave the Little Lady Bucs a 6-4-2 record.

Hannah Kelley made four saves for the Little Lady Bucs in the shutout win.

For the Little Bucs, they raced out to a 6-1 advantage at the half and rolled to a 7-2 win.

Dominic Figueroa led the B-UMS attack with four goals while Ayden Travis tallied two and Jackson Richards one.

The Little Bucs are now 7-3-1 on the season.

Both teams will play again on Monday at Bridgeport.

The girls will play at 6 p.m. while the boys will go at 7 p.m.
