B-UHS Theatre Department to perform Squirrel Girl Goes to College

The B-UHS Theatre department will be performing the show Squirrel Girl Goes to College: A Squirrel Girl Play under the direction of Mr. Jeremiah Smallridge on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. in the B-UHS auditorium.

Squirrel Girl is seen as the strongest Marvel Superhero having defeated many Marvel supervillains, such as Thanos, Galactacus, and Doctor Doom. Squirrel Girl is a longtime member of the Great Lakes Avengers, and she was briefly a nanny for Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones.

Squirrel Girl Goes to College follows Doreen Green (Squirrel Girl) to Empire State University where she meets exciting new friends such as Tomás Lara Perez (Chipmunk Hunk) and Nancy Whitehead. Following her arrival to Empire State, Doreen, Tomás, and Nancy are faced with the threat from MODOC, and his plans for world domination.

Squirrel Girl Goes to College will feature students from both theatre classes, such as: Elizabeth O’Niel as Squirrel Girl, and Brittany Sponaugle, as the narrator Doreen’s best friend, Tippy-Toe.

Squirrel Girl Goes to College performance date will be the evening of November 7 at 7 p.m. in the B-UHS auditorium. It will be performed again at the W.Va. Theatre Association’s One-Act Competition as well as a few school performances.

Tickets cost $2.
