Acacia Danae Leeann Wodzinski, age 23, of French Creek, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, October 17, 2026. She was born October 11, 2003, in Buckhannon, the daughter of Brandon and Misty Chidester of French Creek.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by two sisters: Emily Chidester of Lumberport and Bella Gould of Adrian; one brother, Cameron Boyles and wife Rachel of Rock Cave; grandparents: Mary Baisden of French Creek, Charles Baisden of Buckhannon, Ciciro and Brenda Cutright of French Creek, and Jack and Bev Wodzinski of Buckhannon; one aunt, Hillary Baisden; two uncles: Trevor Baisden and William Lantz; boyfriend Timmy White; her two kitties: Evee and Marlene; and father John Wodzinski of Parkersburg.
Acacia loved and was loved by so many, but she especially loved her cousins: Chelsea, Dustyn, Devon, Leon, Hailey, Hanna, Harper, Hazeley, Tristan and Ryker. The hearts she touched in her short life are numerous and too many to list, but if you were loved by her, she made sure you knew it. She loved her family and friends so much.
Acacia was a light; she was kind, fearless and incredibly thoughtful. Our sweet girl made people feel comfortable being themselves. She was a force and could be quite the handful, but she was funny, goofy and so sassy.
She loved to cook and try new foods. She loved being outdoors, camping, hiking, swimming and sitting around a campfire. She loved the water, loved to travel and was so adventurous. She loved music, going to concerts and festivals. She loved to snuggle and was the biggest bed hog. She gave the absolute best hugs. Losing Acacia has left a hole we can never fill.
The family is honoring her wishes for cremation. They will receive family and friends for a memorial gathering at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4–5:30 p.m.
