Buckhannon Police Department adds two certified officers to its force

BUCKHANNON — The City of Buckhannon and the Buckhannon Police Department are proud to welcome two newly certified officers to the force — Patrolman James Fisher and Patrolman Jacob Garrison.

The officers graduated this year from the West Virginia Police Academy Basic Police Training. Patrolman James Fisher (Graduation Class 185th) and Patrolman Jacob Garrison (Graduation Class 186th) received their graduation certificates at a ceremony in Institute, West Virginia near Charleston following successful completion of the 10-week course.

Greeting Patrolman Garrison and Patrolman Fisher with congratulations Wednesday, Aug. 25, were Buckhannon Mayor Robbie Skinner, Chief Matthew Gregory, Sergeant Mark Stewart, City Recorder Randy Sanders, Council Member Shelia Lewis-Sines, and BPD Administrative Assistant, Tim Smith.

Man arrested for DUI after February crash on Route 33 causes juvenile to suffer brain bleed
