Hodgesville Elementary School recently welcomed back three young ladies who attended Hodgesville Elementary School from K – 5th grade.
Laikelyn Leggett, Kennedy Samargo and Maggie Queen returned to walk the halls. They shared many memories from their years at HES — walking into kindergarten with Mrs. Struble, starting Student Council, having art in the computer lab, where they took reading tests, and many more. The young ladies answered student questions and encouraged the current students to work hard.
The annual $500 scholarship was presented to the essay winner, Laikelyn Leggett. Laikelyn described how helping her grandparents and brother during illnesses and injuries inspired her to major in a medical field. Laikelyn describe her years at Hodgesville Elementary and how she started learning everything she needs to know in life in kindergarten.
