The Buckhannon Community Theatre has canceled their summer 2020 season

It is with a heavy heart that we the Board of Buckhannon Community Theatre, must announce the cancelation of BCT’s summer 2020 season in an effort to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We have decided during our monthly meeting on April 13th 2020 to cancel the performances of Mamma Mia and a proposed Kids Camp both slated for summer 2020 in an effort to prevent any potential spread of the virus.

We sincerely regret having to cancel our Summer Season, but the general welfare of our Patrons, Cast, Staff, and Community is our primary concern. We have been in contact with our local and state officials and believe that suspending our summer operations is the responsible action in slowing down any spread of the virus.

We are planning to resume normal operations as long as it is safe and in the best interest of public health this fall with the production of Clue, based on the popular board game and movie of the same title; more information on the production will be released soon.

We would like to thank our community for their continued support and understanding on this decision and for your support as we start the plans to make our Golden Anniversary, our 2021 Season one of the strongest ones we have ever produced. Please remember to take care of yourself and others during this hard time in our nation’s history. The next BCT Executive Board meeting is scheduled for June 1 2020.
