BUCKHANNON – A Hodgesville man was not injured when his vehicle collided with a power pole late Tuesday afternoon.
Jessie Primovero, 35, ran into a power pole on Pringle Tree Road at around 4:50 p.m. April 7, according to investigating officer Cpl. T.A. Menendez with the Buckhannon detachment of the West Virginia State Police Department.
Menendez said Primovero fell asleep or blacked out behind the wheel, went off the road and hit the pole.
“By the time I got on the scene, he was awake and alert, but he wasn’t able to get out of his car because the electric wire was hanging above his car,” Menendez said. “The fire department wouldn’t allow anyone to get close until the power company got there and shut the line down, but he had no obvious injuries and he didn’t go in the ambulance.”
