Gordmans to open in Tennerton on March 3

BUCKHANNON – That wait is almost over — Gordmans will officially open its doors in Tennerton on Tuesday, March 3. The store will be located at the previous Goody’s location at 100 Skyline Plaza Drive.

Stage spokesperson Blakeley Graham explained that Gordmans is an off-price retailer.

“Gordmans offers popular name brand apparel, on-trend home décor and other merchandise for the entire family at prices that are lower than department stores,” Graham said in an email to My Buckhannon. “Because guests are responding positively to Gordmans’ off-price concept, Stage will be converting most of its department store nameplates Peebles, Goody’s, Bealls, Palais Royal and Stage to Gordmans off-price stores during 2020.”

Graham said Gordmans will still carry some of the brands Goody’s did, but there will be new ones as well.

“Gordmans stores receive fresh new merchandise deliveries weekly, so there will be always something new to discover at Gordmans when it comes to name brand apparel, home décor, footwear, gifts, accessories, fragrances and more for the entire family,” Graham said.

Customers will still be able to use their Goody’s credit cards, gift cards and Style Circuit Rewards at Gordmans.

“For further convenience, customers can ship their Amazon orders to Gordmans’ in-store Amazon Counter for fast, flexible and secure package pick-up,” Graham added.

Goody’s will close a little over a week before the store’s reopening. The ribbon cutting for the new store will kick off at 9 a.m. March 3 and a donation of $1,000 will be presented to Buckhannon-Upshur High School.
