Shirley Temple Gum McQuain

Shirley Temple Gum McQuain, 83, of Richwood, W.Va., died Friday, January 24, 2020, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. 

She was born June 6, 1936, in Webster County, a daughter of the late Roy and Elvrie Baldwin Lough. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son Tommy Gum; one daughter Kathy Hardesty; two brothers:  Gordon and Kenny Lough; and two sisters:  Laurie Bankhead and Rosie Cochran. 

She is survived by one son Johnny Gum and wife Linda of Summersville; four daughters:  Connie and husband Bill Gibson of Marietta, Ohio, Donna and husband Randy Zickefoose of Buckhannon, Bonnie Gum of Buckhannon, and Shirley Gum of Marietta; one brother Delbert Lough of Cottle, W.Va.; one sister Carolyn Hall of Flatwoods; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a devout Jehovah’s Witness and an avid collector of antiques.

At the request of the deceased, the body will be cremated.  A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
