Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital welcomes surgeon, Ferdinand C. Martinez, MD, to the staff of caring physicians.
Dr. Martinez has a special interest in varicose veins. He has an office at the Morgantown Mon Health Medical Center but will also be seeing patients at the Weston health care facility.
Dr. Martinez is happy to be seeing patients in the Weston area and noted, “Stonewall Jackson is part of the Mon Health Care system and we want to expand our care and reach in this area, understanding that health care should be kept as local as possible. That is important for all of our local patients. I also feel that we have a great team here and we work so well together.”
Dr. Martinez is a third-generation surgeon, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather who are surgeons in the Philippines. Dr. Martinez was born and raised in the Philippines but now resides with his wife and son in Waynesburg, Pa.
His specialties include: General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Vein Care, and Wound Healing.
Dr. Martinez graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. He performed his surgical residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center and his fellowship at the University of South Florida. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgeons.
