Jeffrey Wayne Mills

Jeffrey Wayne Mills, 61, of Buckhannon, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 5, 2019, at his home.

He was born October 23, 1957, in Upshur County, W.Va., a son of Wayne C. and Margaret Robinson Mills of Excelsior, W.Va.

On October 23, 1996, he married Melodie McCauley, who survives.

Also surviving are, two sons, Matthew Mills and Robert “Buddy” Watson, Jr. and fiancée Nicole Freeman of Belington, W.Va.; three daughters, Jessica Exline and husband Travis of Ga., Robin Swecker and husband Steve of Mill Creek, W.Va. and Cindy Pennington and fiancé Randy Bennett of Beverly, W.Va.; nine grandsons, Garrett and Jace Swecker both of Mill Creek, Bryce, Jeremiah and Joshua Watson all of Belington, and Levi, Shane and Hines Pennington and Myles Bennett all of Beverly; six granddaughters, Caitlyn and Alyssa Swecker both of Mill Creek, Shalynn Watson of Belington, and Haley and Mariah Pennington and Claira Bennett all of Beverly; one great-granddaughter, Kensleigh Snyder of Beverly; one brother, Kevin Mills and wife Denise of Buckhannon; several nieces & nephews; three special friends, Larry G. Pennington II of Parsons, W.Va., Danny Woods of Helvetia, W.Va. and Walt St. Clair of Buckhannon and numerous other friends.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Abbigayle “Abby” Pennington.

Mr. Mills was a School Bus Driver for the Upshur County Board of Education for 36 years and also worked at Beckwith Lumber.

He enjoyed spending time with his grand kids, woodworking and camping. He was a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Church for 35 years.

Friends will be received Monday, October 7, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Church in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Cemetery in Excelsior, W.Va.
