Bernard Franklin Huffman

Bernard Franklin Huffman, 73, of Buckhannon, and formerly of French Creek, the Indian Camp Community, died Monday, June 24, 2019, at Holbrook Nursing Home. 

He was born August 20, 1945, in Upshur County, a son of the late Elbert Lee and Beatrice Merle Tenney Huffman. 

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by one brother Bobby Huffman; two sisters:  Viola Huffman and Nellie Bennett; sister-in-law Betty Huffman; one brother-in-law Roger Thompson; one niece Karen Phipps; and one nephew Timmy Huffman.

He is survived by four brothers:  Benjamin Huffman of Buckhannon, Brian and wife Joann Huffman of French Creek, Bailey Huffman of Buckhannon, and Berlin and wife Carolyn Huffman of Buckhannon; two sisters:  Berta M. Thompson of Buckhannon and Bonita and husband Bruce Nantz of Buckhannon; sister-in-law Carolyn Wilfong of Buckhannon; two nieces:  Ronda Howell and Brianna Huffman; three nephews:  Brett Huffman, Ryan Huffman, and Mark Wilfong; and several great nieces and nephews.

Bernard loved fishing, work horses, and riding his bicycle.  He attended the Good Hope Tabernacle Church.

Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 27, 2019, from 5-7 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019, at 1 p.m., at the funeral chapel with Pastor Holly J. Hoover and Pastor Scott Owens officiating.  Interment will follow in the Big Bend Cemetery.
