Mama Mia! Authentic Italian food is now available on Main Street in Buckhannon

BUCKHANNON — The wait is over for local fans of Italian food.

Mama Mia Pie & Pasta officially opened its doors Tuesday, celebrating the occasion ribbon cutting ceremony.

Robert Behzadi is the owner of Mama Mia Pie & Pasta in Buckhannon and Elkins.

The hours for the restaurant are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The eatery offers dine-in and carry-out, but no delivery.

Mama Mia’s menu includes an array of pasta selections; sausage, veal, chicken and seafood entrees; eggplant dishes; baked pasta; gourmet pizza; calzones; stromboli; subs; and desserts.

Lacrosse Bucs crush Wheeing Park for first win, 15-3

Buckhannon-Upshur powered to its first win of the season with a 15-3 rout of Wheeling Park, using balanced scoring from seven players despite a near 30-minute delay. Braylon Oldaker, Easton Rice and Tobias Marple netted three goals each as the Bucs improved to 1-1.
