GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Artist and Glenville State College graduate Joseph Pettit is featured in a exhibit at the college’s Fine Arts Center Gallery. The exhibit will be open Feb. 4 through Feb. 21. An opening reception will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Pettit is a 1976 graduate of Glenville State College. He spent two years in the United States Army, taught school for 10 years, worked for 25 years in the saw mill industry, and is now retired. He is a Braxton County native and currently resides in Sutton.
Pettit has displayed his works at Glenville State College several times at the Robert F. Kidd Library prior to this exhibit, usually during Homecoming week.
The opening reception is free to attend and open to the public. The Fine Arts Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and one hour before all GSC musical performances held in the Fine Arts Center.
