Margaret Ruth Ann Wightman

Margaret Ruth Ann Wightman, née Nunn, was born February 21, 1941, in Tampa, Florida, to Thomas Morgan Nunn and Mary Margaret Falck Nunn.

She passed away on September 26, 2026, at home in Brodheadsville, PA, where she lived with her husband, son and his family.

Affectionately known as “Ruth Ann,” she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by faith, kindness, and service to others. For 53 years, she shared her life with her beloved husband, Harold Leon Wightman, Jr., who survives her.

Throughout her life, Ruth Ann served as a pastor’s wife, secretary, homemaker, and devoted mother. Her Christian faith was at the center of her life. She taught her children to know and trust God, to place their faith in Jesus Christ, and to understand the importance of prayer. Her faith was more than something she professed—it was reflected in the way she lived and loved.

Ruth Ann had a heart of gold and gave selflessly to her family. She was a safe and trusted presence who loved without judgment and could be counted on through every season of life. She showed her children how to love through her patience, tenderness, sacrifice, countless hugs and kisses, and unwavering presence. She found much joy in caring for her family and friends.

Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, Harold Leon Wightman, Jr.; her children: Robin Tomlinson and her husband, Jim, Shannon Williams, Darlene Molina and her husband, Federico, Nelson Wightman and his wife, Lovener, Brett Wightman, Kirt Wightman and his wife, Christina; her grandchildren: Sage and Salah Woestman, Micah and Morgan Molina, William, Wyatt, and Winter Wightman, and Eric and Mary-Kate Wightman; her brothers: Carl Nunn and his wife, Sandy, and Terry Nunn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Nunn, her brother Thomas M. Nunn Jr., “Tim,” and her sister, Jeanine Hunt.

Ruth Ann’s greatest joy was her family. The lessons she taught, the prayers she prayed, the meals she prepared, the flowers she tended, and the love she gave so freely will remain part of her family’s lives for generations.

Her life was a gift.
Her love was a blessing.
Her faith was her legacy.
And she will never be forgotten.

“Her children arise and call her blessed.”
— Proverbs 31:28
