Baseball and softball teams remain ranked in MetroNews polls

TENNERTON – Both the Buckhannon-Upshur softball Lady Bucs and the Buckhannon-Upshur baseball Buccaneers remained ranked in this week’s edition of the WV MetroNews poll.

The softball poll is voted upon by 12 coaches across the state of West Virginia.

The Lady Bucs moved up two spots to fifth this week with 64 points.

Cabell Midland sets atop of the poll garnering all 12 first place votes with 120 points.

Morgantown is second with 105 points.

The baseball poll is voted upon by a panel of 10 radio broadcasters and sports writers across West Virginia.

The Bucs were ninth this week, dropping two spots from last week, with 64 points.

Jefferson is in first place, gathering six first place votes with 96 overall points while Morgantown received the other four first place votes with 92 points.
