- Curbside Recycling Pick-up begins at 6 a.m. — Pick-up occurs within Buckhannon city limits. Information about recycling can be found on the city’s website, at City Hall, or by calling the Recycling Center or Upshur County Solid Waste Authority at (304) 472-4443.
- Downtown Seasonal Decoration Committee Meeting, 5:30-6:30 p.m. — This is an in-person meeting in the City Hall Council Chambers; no GoToMeeting option is available.

- Sanitary Board Meeting — Mayor Robbie Skinner advises that the City of Buckhannon Sanitary Board meeting scheduled for March 19, 2026, has been canceled. The next meeting is scheduled for April 16, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

- Trash Can Placement: Trash cans must be hidden from public view as much as possible during the week; place them at the curb the night before collection and return them within 24 hours after collection.
- Utility Bill Payments: Pay utility bills online at Municipal Online Payments or by phone at 1-866-933-4026. Setting up an account allows you to monitor your consumption.
- Report Repairs or Concerns: To report issues such as potholes or damaged signs, call City Hall during business hours to submit a work order or use the Citizen Engagement tool on the city’s website.
