Ronald Earl “Ronnie” Grall, Sr., age 83, of Buckhannon, died on Monday, December 29, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was born in Glen Dale, WV on December 13, 1942, a son of the late Frank Earl and Eleanor Delores Gray Grall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Lee Grall: three brothers, and one sister.
He was united in marriage on August 30, 1961, to Helen Mae Darrah Grall who survives.
He is also survived by one daughter, Amber Slovak of Buckhannon; four sons: Ronald Grall, Jr. and wife Kim of Wheeling, Tony Grall of Bellaire, OH, Michael Joseph Grall and wife Kimberly of Buckhannon, and Matthew David Grall of Buckhannon; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Grall was a former Fire Boss in the coal mines and was one of the 2006 Sago Mine Disaster survivors.
The family has honored his wishes for cremation, and a Celebration of Life service will be held in June 2026.
